Akyem Oda Chieftaincy Disputes: Kotoku Professional Network Call On Gov't

It has come to the notice of Kotoku Professionals Network the visit of Abuakwahene Okyehene Amoatia to Adoagyiri - Kotoku Ankobea in his tour of towns and villages under his jurisdiction.

Abuakwahene's statement at Adoagyiri which was featured on PeaceFm 6 o'clock news on Monday 9th September 2019 claiming Adoagyiri under his jurisdiction.

We would like to bring to his notice the historical antecedent from 1860 doesn't support his assertion.

All records available attest to the fact that Adoagyiri land was acquired by Chief Dompre from Aburihene who was originally Akwamu Guan. Also, Adoagyirihene as Akyem Kotoku Ankobeahene has never sworn oath of allegiance to any Abuakwahene.

As a President of Eastern Regional House of Chiefs we were expecting you in using your good office to solve the numerous disputes in the region especially the 22 years Akyem Kotoku Chieftancy litigation which is causing marginalization of indigenes from Kotoku ahenkruo in the government.

We, the Citizens of Akyem kotoku traditional area, Akyem Oda plead with His Excellency the president of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo to extend his wisdom in the peaceful settlement of protracted chieftaincy matters, notably the installation of the Yaa Naa, among others to help gift the good people of Akyem kotoku traditional area An Omanhene, as Akyem Oda Cries for Social Economic Development.

We would like to bring to your notice that all these disputes do hinder development and loss of lives and properties.
