AUDIO: Prez Mills' Second State Of The Nation Address

The President of the Republic, His Excellency Prof J.E.A. Mills has delivered his second State of the Nation Address to Parliament and the nation at large. As required by Article 67 of the 1992 constitution the president at the beginning of each session of parliament and before dissolution of Parliament must deliver to the House a message on the state of the Nation. Today�s address was therefore in conformity with the provisions of the constitution. It was the second time the president addressed the house under 67 of the constitution since taking office on January 7, 2009. President Mills outlined his plans and implementation programme for the nation and also touched on various aspects of the economy that he thinks should be reshaped. His address also touched on Agriculture, Education, Security, Health, Governance, Employment, and Housing amongst others. Play the attached audio to listen to President Mills' address.
