As part of the activities for the third year anniversary celebration of the New Patriotic Party(NPP) Loyal Ladies, the Akim Oda chapter was launched on the 31st August, 2019 at Akim Oda Liberty lorry station in the Birim Central Municipality of Eastern region.
NPP Loyal Ladies was founded three years ago by some vibrant young women and was meant to mobilized the youths especially the young ladies in the country to enable the party which was lead by the then candidate Nana Akufo Addo to win power from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government lead by John Mahama which they saw as an incompetent ruling party.
The occasion brought together many dignitaries in the NPP like the information minister who double as the member of Parliament for Ofoase Ayirebi constituency, Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, Member of parliament for Akim Oda constituency, Hon. William Agyapong Quaittoo, the district chief executive of Akyemansa district, Hon. Paul Asamoah, the Eastern regional youth organizer for NPP, Jerry Osei Poku, and all Akim Oda Constituency Executives, among others.
Hon. William Agyapong Quaittoo who was the chairman of the occasion, congratulated all members of the loyal ladies for their cooperation, self dedication and massive hard working contribution to the New Patriotic Party for the past three years which helped bring the party into power. He said, every member and anyone who wish to join the loyal ladies should be abreast with the main objective of the association and hence work towards it in order to help the party retain power come 2020 general elections in Ghana. He added that, members must also make education their major priority to fetch them higher qualifications which will enable them grab higher positions as the party retain power.
Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah took the opportunity to congratulate the loyal ladies for their hard work and dedication to the party and motivated them to double it up to facilitate the NPP retain power in the 2020 elections as they face the main NDC opposition party.
The Eastern regional NPP youth organizer, Jerry Osei Poku promised the loyal ladies that he will see to it that the party provides everything necessary to motivate and empower the comfort of their work in order to speed up for victory for the party come 2020 general election.
