Update On PNC Cape Coast NEC Meeting

The National Executive Committee of the PNC met in the Central Regional Capital of Cape Coast on Saturday the 14th of September, 2019 and deliberated on a number of issues aimed at the reorganization and revamping of the party going into the 2020 elections.

Among other issues, the NEC meeting discussed the report of the Congress Planning Committee that was presented to the National Executive Committee on July 13, 2019. NEC concluded on the roadmap for Branch, Constituency, Regional, National and Presidential Candidate elections of the party.

Upon deliberations, the National Executive Committee arrived at the timelines for the various structural
level elections of the party as follows;

1. All Constituency Conferences should be concluded by 30th October 2019
2. All Regional Conferences should have been held by 30th November 2019.
3. National Congress should be held by 20th January 2019
4. A Presidential Candidate for the party should be elected by 30th March 2019.
5. Modalities for all elections are available at the constituency, regional and national offices of
the party.

The meeting also resolved to unify and close the ranks of the party by granting pardon to all officers or members of the party who have been dismissed or suspended for various acts of omissions or commissions. This, in the view of NEC, would present a solid united front for the party to position itself strongly enough for the impending elections of 2020 and beyond.

By the outcome of the meeting, NEC gives the strongest indication and clearest assurance that the PNC is poised to reposition itself as the party of choice to the Ghanaian masses.

The party wishes to encourage its supporters and sympathizers not to despair but to feel hopeful enough to do their individual and collective best to uplift the fortunes of the party.

National Chairman
