There Will Be No Peace Between Ghana Police And Ordinary Ghanaians If...Uncle Of T’adi Kidnapped Girl Declares

The announcement of the Ghana Police Service on the death of the three kidnapped Takoradi girls has angered one of the victims, Ruth Love Quayson’s uncle, threatening to disturb the peace of the Ghana Police Service for their unprofessional conduct in the case.

According to him, should his demand to see the Interior Minister, CID Boss and National Security Minister oust from their positions, the Ghana Police Service and the ordinary Ghanaians will have serious altercation without ending in sight.

Speaking to the Western Regional Correspondent for Despite Media on Okay FM’s Ade Akye Abia Morning Show, Ruth Love Quayson’s uncle threatened series of demonstrations to the Regional Police Headquarters and extend it to the Parliament House in Accra.

“The Interior Minister, the CID Boss, and the National Security Minister should resign as soon as possible; other than that, there will be no peace between the ordinary Ghanaians and the Ghana Police Service”, he threatened.

He reiterated that “there will be a whole lot of demonstrations after our press conference. A whole lot of actions by moving to the Regional Headquarters of the Ghana Police Service and we will have youth conference in Takoradi and after that, we will move to the Parliament House”.

The Ghana Police Service has indicated that the DNA test carried out on the human parts found on a property previously occupied by the suspected kidnapper has been confirmed to be that of the four girls who went missing in Takoradi.

The Acting Inspector-General of Police (IGP), James Oppong-Boanuh at a press conference on Monday evening said the girls were victims of a serial kidnapping and murdering syndicate.

"A few minutes ago, officers of the Ghana Police service informed 4 families in Takoradi in the Western Region of Ghana that DNA test conducted on some human remains discovered into the course of police investigations into the disappearance 4 missing girls have turned positive, as the remains of the girls. The Ghana Police service has with regret informed the families that the remains of Ruth Abakah, Priscilla Kuranchie, Ruth Love Quayson, Priscilla Blessing Bentum” he stated.

“Investigations now establish that the girls were victims of a serial kidnapping and murdering syndicate that operated in the Takoradi area. While for various reasons we were unsuccessful in obtaining and action on accurate actionable intelligence in good time to enable us to rescue the girls, we believe that the arrest of the culprits has effectively thwarted the ability of this syndicate to have continued with further kidnappings and murders.” the acting IGP further added.

But the furious uncle of Ruth Love upon hearing the Ghana Police Service pronouncement, burst out in anger saying that “we would not have handed over the suspect to the Police if we knew this was going to be the outcome; we would have killed him or found other means to look for the girls”.

He, however, indicated that the families were hopeful to see the law work in their favor, explaining why they handed over the kidnapper to the police; intimating that the families will take over the investigation and bring the girls back alive, should the police release the kidnapper to them as in their view, the stories from the police don’t add up.
