Nana Addo Is Doing Free SHS, PFJ, Tell Ghanaians What You Can Do And Stop Attacking Manhyia - Chief Tells Mahama

Former President John Dramani Mahama and the opposition NDC have been advised to focus on what they can do for Ghanaians when re-elected and stop attacking The Asantehene and Manhyia Palace.

The Chief of Agric Nzema in Kumasi, Nana Nkansah Boadu Ayeboafo, speaking in an interview with Kumasi-based HelloFM, said instead of engaging in insults and character assassination of the Asante King and his subjects, the NDC must channel their energies into promoting programs and policies that can benefit Ghanaians when elected into power.

He said the current administration, under the leadership of His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo is implementing laudable social interventions such Free SHS, Planting for Food and Jobs amongst others which have brought relief to many Ghanaians, adding that the NDC should rather emulate such shining examples and refrain from insults and mudslinging.

"The attacks on Manhyia Palace and the King won't do them any good. They should know that no matter the attacks and character assassination, the Asantehene and the Asante Kingdom will continue to remain strong and recognized across the globe," he emphasized in an interview on HelloFM in Kumasi.

Former President Mahama and the NDC have for the past few days come under barrage of attacks following what many described as gross disrespect exhibited against the Royal King and the Asante Kingdom, after the former President issued a statement challenging an assertion made by Otumfuo Osei Tutu II during an address at the United Nations last week.

Many groups and individuals have condemned the behaviour of the former President and the NDC, calling them to render unqualified apology to the Golden Stool.
