Akim Oda NPP Loyal Ladies Join Birim Central MCE On Sanitation Day

Akim Oda NPP Loyal ladies joined the Municipal Chief Executive of Birim Central in the Eastern Region, Victoria Adu and Member of Parliament for Oda constituency, William Agyapong Quaittoo to mark this year's Sanitation Day which occurred over the weekend.

Mrs. Victoria Adu Badu urged Ghanaian women to champion the need for personal hygiene and sanitation in the country.

She together with Hon. Agyapong Quaittoo, NPP Chairman Mr. Awudu Issaka and residents of Akim Oda sanitized the vicinity to kick against illnesses.

The MCE further called on the market women in the municipality to be proactive in issues regarding sanitation and also support the Ministry of Sanitation, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and waste management company, Zoomlion to ensure a clean city.

"...one person does not rule a nation; as same as the issues of proper way of eradicating dirt on our streets and communities", she stated. 

Hon. Agyapong Quaittoo added he believes Akim Oda will be declared the cleanest city in Ghana "if his constituents would back it up with monthly practices as stipulated by the constitution. When I compare Oda to other cities when I was at the Ministry of the Local Government; nothing shows that Oda is gonna top the sanitation mantle".
