John Terry In Trouble Again

John Terry broke the leg of Chelsea security guard after knocking him over in his Range Rover outside Stamford Bridge last night, Goal.com UK can reveal. The Blues skipper was breathalysed and quizzed by police in his home in the early hours of the morning following the incident -which took place after his side were knocked out of the Champions League by Inter Milan. Police confirmed today that they are making enquiries into the incident - and that Terry sped off after injuring the club employee. A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: "Police were called at 23.13 on Tuesday the 16th March to Stamford Bridge to reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian. "London Ambulance Service and Police attended where a 35 year old male was found with a broken leg. He has been taken to a west London hospital where he is in a stable condition. "The driver of a dark coloured 4 x 4 car failed to stop at the scene. No arrests were made though enquiries into the incident continue." According to some eyewitness reports, Terry hit the man after stepping on the gas as his car was being mobbed by curious fans. But Terry's spokesman Phil Hall blamed paparazzi photographers for obstructing his car as he attempted to leave the ground - and insisted that the player was unaware that he had hit someone. He told Goal.com UK: "John was coming out of the car park and he was surrounded by paparazzi photographers. He was not driving very fast and a security guard waved him through. There were some fans there and they were telling the photographers to get out of the way. Terry's spokesman added that the player had no idea that he had hit the man, until he received a phone call from the club an hour or so later. He added: "John volunteered to go to the police station, and was breathalised in his home at 1.30 am." Hall added that Terry had apologised to the security guard this morning in a telephone call.
