Uphold professionalism in the discharge of duties-Mrs Adika

Mrs Patricia Akua Adika, Second National Vice President of the Ghana Registered Nurses Association (GRNA) has advised members to eschew negative tendencies, and rather uphold professionalism in the discharge of their duties. She further urged them to work assiduously towards improving health care delivery throughout Ghana, and to show concern for all clients, who visited the health facilities. Mrs Adika gave the advice at a forum in Accra as part of activities marking the Golden Jubilee Anniversary celebration of the Association. She pointed out that society had become much enlightened on human rights issues, and therefore, urged nurses to endeavour to treat patients with love, care and dignity, instead of treating them with contempt. Mrs Adika further advised nurses to exhibit a high sense of discipline and hard work, in order to attain the highest level of professionalism in health care delivery in the country.
