Ghana To Play Nigeria In London

Ghana will lock horns with arch rivals Nigeria in an international friendly game in London in August subject to the finalization of an agreement. The West African rivals who have built one of the fiercest rivalries in world football are due to meet in England on August 9 at a venue yet to be decided three days before the start of the Premiership season. It will be a chance for Nigeria to exact some revenge on Ghana after a string of losses in recent meetings. Ghana has won back to back Nations Cup meetings against Nigeria and the last time the two countries met in an international friendly in London in 2007, Ghana were 4-1 winners. Before that though, Goran Stevanovic's side must take care of Congo in a 2012 Nations Cup qualifier on June 3 and then travel to South Korea for an international friendly on June 7.
