NPP Can't Win Adenta In 2012 - MP

The Member of Parliament for the Adenta Constituency Benedict Adu Asare has watered down any possibility and perception that a New Patriotic Party (NPP) aspirant will unseat him in the 2012 parliamentary elections. He said the NPP parliamentary candidate in the area �won�t fly.� Ben Adu Asare said, the achievement of government in his constituency makes it difficult for any individual or party to win any elections in the area. He said his achievements both in the constituency and parliament makes him and the NDC the obvious choices for the electorates in the 2012 elections. When asked if the parliamentary candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in that constituency Frances Assiam, who was once the women organiser of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) before defecting to the Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) and now with the biggest opposition party NPP poses a threat to him as the sitting M.P for the Adenta area? He said ��nobody stands the chance of winning against the NDC in that area.�� He indicated that though the NPP parliamentary candidate in the area is a versatile politician, the achievements of his government�s achievement will speak on the day of elections adding that Ghanaians are tired of black propaganda and lies, the truth will always stand he said. Adu Asare who is a member of food, Agric and cocoa affairs and also gender and children in parliament explained to Gold News that the Mills administration had done better in its two years in office than the NPP�s four years in the Adenta constituency The M.P for the Adenta constituency, Ben Adu Asare retorted that government developmental initiatives in the area and all the nooks and crannies of the country, makes it difficult for either Frances Assiam or the NPP to make any real impact. The Adenta legislator recounted government interventions in the municipality; the water situation in the area had improved. He said however that there are some few challenges with regards to technical hitches which are being addressed. He added that the bore hole transformer had been changed and that had also contributed to the regular supply of water to serving the people of housing down. Water also flows from west side and east side, kpone and converge at Okponglo to serve East Legon, Madina including Adenta. On roads the M.P maintained that 200 km roads are under construction including a 140 km had been awarded, ��a lot of work had gone into the constituency.�� he said. Interventions had also gone into Education, Health, street lights, provision of job opportunities for the youth amongst a legion of other projects. He pointed out that, the initiatives by government in the Adenta area makes it difficult for people to deny the positive impact of the better Ghana agenda, ��for which reason the people will retain the NDC and I in the upcoming elections.�� ��This are the things to show. By 2012 there will be so much evidence that WE came to serve the people and will retain President Mills and his government in power in the next elections.�� Adu Asare Said. The Adenta M.P congratulated Frances Assiam for winning the parliamentary primaries to lead her party in the area.
