Election 2020: NPP’s Campaign In Limbo; No 1 Position Is ‘Bad Luck’ – Otokunor Claims

Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Boamah Otokunor seems to be worried about NPP’s position on the ballot paper ahead of the December 7 general elections.

According to him, their position on the ballot will affect the ruling party's campaign strategy after months of crusading with “4More4Nana” mantra and mass production of T-shirts with an inscription of ‘Round 2’.

He claims the number 1 position for the NPP will bring nothing but bad luck – “the number one means one term for Nana Addo.”

If they will listen and resign from power, it will serve them good,” he added in an interview on NEAT FM’s morning show "Ghana Montie".

Otokunor however believes, “God in his infinite wisdom made us [NDC] pick number two, and it’s the second coming of John Mahama.”

Ballot Paper Position

The governing New Patriotic Party will be the number one on the ballot in the December 7 polls followed by the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
