Ghana Not Ready To Tolerate Homosexuals - Mahama's Aide

A Private Legal Practitioner, lawyer Godwin Edudzi Tamakloe has called on the government not to relax but be extremely vigilant to clamp down activities of homosexuality prevailing in the country.

According to him, the activities of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Intersex (LGBTQI) can only thrive when the government appears to be a bit relaxed in dealing with such issues in the country.

Speaking on Okay FM’s 'Ade Akye Abia' Morning Show, lawyer Edudzi Tamakloe was of the view that the nation is not interested in whatever goes on in the closet of these homosexuals but added that the country cannot accept it when they set up an office to openly encourage people to engage in homosexuality.

He stressed that the bottom line of this issue is centred on the cultural setting; thus, it will be improper for the Europeans whose cultural setting permits homosexuality and abhors polygamy to impose homosexuality which our cultural setting frowns on it.

He insisted that Ghana is not ready to tolerate the establishment of homosexuality office in the country with the support of the European Union when Ghana cannot come to Europe to force them to practice polygamy.
