Joselyn Dumas Goes Eco-friendly on Maksi Clothings Environmental Campaign

The ever fashionable host of The One Show and actress, Joselyn Dumas will be impacting lives with fashion as she and other celebrities join Afro-inspired clothing line, MAKSI to urges Ghanaians to get as serious about their environment as they do about dressing. As part of their latest fashion campaign, MAKSI has pledged to support environmental NGO, the Energy Solutions Foundation to give the people of Wa a sustainable Solution to their fuel and gas needs. The MAKSI: Lets AdDRESS the issue campaign, which has had overwhelming support from celebrities including Joselyn Dumas and Ama K Abebrese aims to make people think about the environment and act. Business Director for Maksi, Ms Nana Darkoa Sekyiamah said it was time to take action. She added, Ghana is a beautiful country and we have much to be proud of. But we all have a personal responsibility to maintain its beauty and the quickest and easiest way we can do this is by making sure our environment is kept clean. Yes, the Government has a responsibility to tackle the issue of sanitation, but we also have to task ourselves and ask; what are we doing to protect our country for the benefit of us and the generations that will follow? Each business and each person can take a stand against poor sanitation, waste dumping and start thinking about sustainable energy also. MAKSI has made it easy for both men and women alike to help make a difference, simply by purchasing one of their sought-after creations. Ms Sekyiamah concluded, Theres no better feeling that when you know that you are making a responsible purchase. Your new dress will positively impact the lives of many. What could be better? Ms Golda Addo, founder of the NGO thats set to benefit from the campaign said she was delighted that Energy Solutions Foundation was selected by MAKSI. The collaboration with a forward-thinking fashion label such as MAKSI helps us to raise the profile of environmentalism. We cannot turn a blind eye to the daily destruction of our beloved country any longer. Action must be taken to help safeguard the future of the nation for the benefit of our children. From today, MAKSI joins the fight to clean up Ghana and tasks each and every one to AdDRESS the issue. MAKSI clothing can be purchased at Winglow, 13 Mensah Wood Road, East Legon and at Qticules, 8 Volta Street, Airport Residential Area.
