NDC's Future Depends On 2012 Ben Ephson

Editor of the Daily Dispatch newspaper, Mr. Ben Ephson says the future of the National Democratic Congress will depend on the outcome of the 2012 election. He said depending on the results of the partys congress in July, the first six weeks after the congress will be a do and die affair for the NDC. He also added that the results of the 2012 polls will spell doom for any of the two giant parties, should any of them lose. Explaining why Mrs. Rawlings should not step down as is been proposed by some NDC top shots not so long ago, Mr. Ephson said that was not the solution to the problem within the party. He opined that the reason Mrs. Rawlings was contesting was because she had seen some problems within the party she hoped to tackle and as such, stepping down would only worsen the matter since they would only be postponing solving the issues within the party. Theres a problem between the Rawlings faction and the Mills faction. I mean this stepping aside will only postpone the solution of the problem. Let them go to the congress. If she wins, fine. Then she has a greater say that look, whatever shes been saying, delegates agree with her. If she loses, depending on how bad the loss is, they can sit down and talk but stepping aside is only postponing the solution of the problem. Mr. Ephson said based on the results of the July congress, the factions involved could sit down and resolve the issues within the party. Debunking notions that the former first lady stood a chance not on the basis of incompetence, Mr. Ephson said he doubted if the delegates would accept an issue of husband go wife come and added If Nana Konadu gets 30%, I would think she has done very well.
