NDC Vows To Deal With Miscreants At Sunyani Congress

National Organizer of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), Yaw Boateng Gyan, has warned that the party will deal drastically with any miscreant who intends fomenting trouble at the partys upcoming Congress scheduled to take place in Sunyani in a months time. Yaw Boateng-Gyan says any attempt to cause chaos at the congress grounds by any individual or group of individuals will crushed by the security agencies. His comment comes in the wake of revelation by the Editor-in-Chief of the New Crusading Guide, Malik Kweku Baako that some individuals within the NDC are planning to cause mayhem at the partys Congress. According to the seasoned journalist, the NDCs Sunyani congress is likely to be very messy if the party does not put in place adequate security measures to nib in the bud disruptive activities being planned by some fanatics of the party. Mr. Baakos claims were corroborated by the Central Regional Communications Director of the NDC, Mr Allotey Jacobs, who said the party has heard similar hints. Speaking on Peace FMs Kokrokoo Morning Show, Mr. Boateng Gyan revealed that a congress committee on security has been established and they will liaise with the state security apparatus to ensure an incident free congress. He also disclosed that the party for the first time will issue accreditation cards for all delegates and to anybody who will be present at the congress grounds. He emphasized that no-one will be allowed at the congress grounds without the proper accreditation tag, adding that inspection of accreditation will be done before any delegate can vote. Additionally, he said, the party has compiled a list of all delegates in every constituency with their attached pictures in a move to ensure a credible voters register. Meanwhile, pecefmonline.com is reliably informed that results of the vetting of President Mills and Nana Konadu, will be out within two days after which candidates will be notified with copies of the electoral list for them to start with official campaigning.
