Call Out Bawumia, Alan, Mahama To Make Clear Bold Statement On How To End Galamsey - Dr. Okoe Boye Charges Ghanaians

Chief Executive Officer of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), Dr. Bernard Okoe Boye has charged Ghanaians to demand a clear manifesto from the Presidential candidates on how they are going to end illegal mining (galamsey).

According to him, the candidates should be compelled to provide a clear roadmap to nip this menace in the bud.

He spoke to host Nana Yaw Kesseh on Peace FM's morning show "Kokrokoo".

The NHIA CEO and former Deputy Health Minister was concerned about the illegal mining activities that have destroyed the environment and water bodies in the country and hoped for a lasting solution to this canker.

He admonished Ghanaians to "call people out. Dr. Bawumia, Alan Kyerematen, Kennedy Agyapong, John Mahama; ask them what are the three/four things you are going to do to make sure it will be difficult for someone to pick up a machine and place it in the water bodies".

To the candidates, Dr. Okoe Boye demanded of them to "make a clear statement, not one that is ambigious. Not one that is subject to many meanings, make it clear; let's know your mind" regarding how they intend to make galamsey a thing of the past.
