The Super Incompetence Of The President And Vice Has Shown In The Bog Expenditure - Benjamin Quashie

Mr. Benjamin Kofi Quashie, South African National Democratic Congress Council of Elders Chairman, has questioned the competence of Nana Akufo-Addo and Dr. Bawumia regarding the unconscionable expenditure of the Bank of Ghana.

According to him, if the President and his Vice who were touted as very competent, can superintend over such inconsiderate and reckless expenditure of the Bank of Ghana, "Then how do we describe them? Super incompetent", he claimed.

In a telephone interview on CTV's "Dwabremu" Political Show, he averred that, if the competent pair can allow the BoG to print money in excess of ¢40 billion in 2022, which far exceeds the percentage of revenue accrued in the preceding year, "It tells you these are people who have no regard for laid down procedure and a time would come that our kids, grand kids and great, great grandkids would come to realise that Ghana retrogressed under Nana Addo/Bawumia government", the SA Council Chair stated.

He indicated that the actions of the "President have been supported by a super incompetent Vice President. The Vice President has become a walking illegality, the Vice President has made mockery of economics and has become a comedian of the people", said Mr. Quashie.

Explaining further what he meant by the Vice President being a comedian, he argued that, he has heard Dr. Bawumia on the NPP campaign trail averring that he can fix the economy when given opportunity to rule as president. In the view of the SA Council Chair, "if as the head of the current NPP government's Economic Management Team, you have not been successful, then it stands to reason to conclude that it's for comic purposes for the same person to promise doing something worthwhile when given the opportunity to lead as president.

The Nana Akufo-Addo/Bawumia government has terribly disappointed Ghanaians and Bawumia cannot be absolved from blame and claim to do better when he becomes president. That isn't possible and it's a ploy to deceive Ghanaians", Mr. Benjamin Quashie ended.
