Chaskele, a celebrated sports presenter, commentator, and voice-over artist, has joined Happy 98.9FM as host of the Wamputu Sports show.

The Wamputu Sports show which airs on weekdays from 5pm to 6pm and features exciting segments like Sports Trends, Sports News, Analysis and Local Titbits. The award-winning show which boasts of a diverse and huge following on air and digital is projected to go a notch higher as Chaskele takes over the reigns.

Commenting on his decision to join Happy 98.9FM, Chaskele said: "Happy 98.9FM has always been my home. The station played a crucial role in my formative years and development as a top-notch media talent. It's good to be back home to contribute to the continuous success of this great brand. The Director of Broadcasting at Global Media Alliance (parent company of Happy 98.9FM), Timothy Kwakye Karikari, said that adding Chaskele to the sports team will give listeners the best in sports. Chaskele is a force to be reckoned with when it comes to the media industry and sports journalism. He has almost two decades of experience in the industry and has worked with media brands such Meridian FM, KissFM, StarTimes, and DSTV.

He has covered all the major football tournaments, including the World Cup, Champions League Finale, and Europa League. He was the first to run Twi commentary on Supersports DSTV.
