Accept Whoever Emerges As Your Flagbearer - Atik Mohammed To NPP

Atik Mohammed, a former PNC General Secretary, has implored the presidential aspirants together with members of the New Patriotic Party to accept the outcome of their election tomorrow, November 4.

According to him, it behoves the party to ensure peace and unity after electing their flagbearer, a process he stated is a microcosm of the main elections in December next year.

He noted that much work is needed for the party to compete in the 2024 elections, hence advised that the NPP will need the participation of everyone including all the aspirants, both the winner and losers, to push a common goal.

He also cautioned the party delegates not to engage in any act of violence during the election.

" . . at the end of the day, we hope and expect that when the election is over, none of them will lose even a hair. What we want to hear is the process ended peacefully and that whoever they decided on is accepted by everyone," he said on Peace FM's morning show "Kokrokoo".

Atik Mohammed further urged the NPP leadership and Election Committee to ensure transparent and fair election to avoid conflicts.

"If you are fair in any process, then there won't even be the need or anticipation for any person to leave the party," he stressed.
