NPP Flagbearer Race: Ken Agyapong Was ‘Forced’ To the Stadium with National Security – Aide Reveals

An aide to Mr Kennedy Ohene Agyapong says his boss was not happy with the outcome of the New Patriotic Party’s internal election.

Mr Jerry who was speaking to Okay FM’s Afia Pokua made a shocking revelation that the outspoken Assin Central Member of Parliament was not ready to join the party at the Accra Sports stadium for the declaration of Dr Mahamudu Bawumia as the party’s flagbearer.

He claimed in the interview Mr Kennedy Agyapong was somehow forced to the venue with the help of state security.

“You had your choice and duly made it, how then did you send National Security to escort him to the stadium?” he claimed.

In an attempt to justify his wild claims, he said, “We know, should I give you video evidence? I can give it to you. It was protocol that went to bring him because Ken wasn’t ready to come.”

Even though Mr Kennedy Agyaong openly said the election was “free and transparent” and urged the NPP to unite to give the National Democratic Congress (NDC) a “Showdown” in the 2024 election – his aide claimed he said that out of ‘frustration’.

Kennedy Agyepong's campaign team member makes some revelations here. When Ken was campaigning, they didn't provide security for him, but after polls, you sent National Security to his house to force him to the Accra Sports Stadium to endorse Bawumia.
