There has been numerous calls on the Vice Presdient Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, who doubles as the leader and the Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party, to name his running mate.

But speaking on Peace Fm's Kokrokoo morning show, Mr. Sammi Awuku noted that the Vice President will soon name his running mate but it won't be in January.

According to Mr. Awuku, the Vice President is having a broader consultation with stakeholders in order to come up with a running mate who has the capacity to run with the vision of the new NPP government.

In addition to that, he said, Veep is going about his normal duties as required of him as the current Vice President.

Meanwhile, he says the NPP flagbearer will address the nation in February.

"The Vice President will give a speech to the good people of Ghana on the 7th of Febrauary 2024, during which he will announce his broader plans for Ghana when he is voted into office as the President of Ghana," he revealed.
