We are Tired!!! Adwoa Safo Must Go - NPP Dome Kwabenya Delegates Call For Change

New Patriotic Party (NPP) delegates at the Dome Kwabenya constituency demand a change in the Parliamentary candidature at the ongoing NPP Parliamentary Primaries.

According to a section of the delegates, the incumbent MP, Hon. Sarah Adwoa Safo has not undertaken any massive developmental projects in the constituency since she assumed the seat.

The delegates mentioned that, since 2012, anytime they vote for the incumbent, she disappears into thin air until another election year hence the need to change her and bring someone they can go to, at any given time.

They alleged that, the act of neglecting the constituency and leaving them unattended to has become a regular pattern for the lawyer Adwoa Safo. According to them, this has stalled development in the Dome-Kwabenya constituency.

One of the delegates said,’’ the reason for our request to change lawyer Adwoa Safo is that, for the past 12 years when Hon. Adwoa Safo assumed the seat for Dome-Kwabenya, we have not witnessed any major development. What bothers me most is that, once we vote for her, we don’t see her again. She travels outside the country and dances on TikTok.

Another delegate also noted that Lawyer Adwoa Safo has been consistent with her conduct claiming that she repeats that after every election.

Their request to have the main contender, Lawyer Mike Oquaye Jnr is that the latter has been there for the delegates since day one and has been very supportive.

Lawyer Adwoa Safo faces very fierce competition in the ongoing NPP Parliamentary Primaries as Mike Oquaye Jnr and Ms. Sheela Sakyi Oppong Adomaa.

About 1,840 delegates are expected to vote at the Atomic Basket Ball Park in the Dome Kwabenya Constituency.

The constituency is one of the biggest constituencies that captures areas such as Abokobi, Ablorh Adjei, Haatso, Atomic, Kwabenya, Dome East, Taifa North and Taifa South.
