Man Dies In Motorway Crash

One person has been reported dead on the Tema Motorway when a Ford Explorer, believed to be running at a top speed, somersaulted several times and landed on its back in another lane. According to police reports, the vehicle was from Tema, heading towards Accra when the driver suddenly lost control of the steering wheel, leading to the car somersaulting and landing in another lane. Briefing DAILY GUIDE, the Commander in charge of the Airport Motor Traffic and Transport Unit (MTTU), DSP William Asante, stated that the dead was identified as 34-year-old Eben Yormesah, the driver of the Ford Explorer. He noted that about 4pm Sunday evening, a police patrol team witnessed the accident at Animal Husbandry Area and consequently prompted the Airport MTTU. �When we got to the scene, we realized the victim was trapped in the car so we brought him out, rushed him to the Police Hospital while the vehicle was tolled off the road to the police station. �Preliminary investigation indicated that the driver somersaulted and landed on the other road. �The driver was pronounced dead when he was taken to the Police Hospital,� he said. He noted the family of the deceased has since been informed while the police continue their investigations.
