Male Icon Ghana Finalists Revealed!

Male Icon Ghana 2011, a search that focuses on empowering young men and encouraging them to reach for the ultimate in life has been launched in Accra. The event aims at nurturing and grooming selected intelligent young men with the desire to excel in life as well as introducing them to their role models in the country. The eventual winner will serve as a youth ambassador against drug abuse as well as promote healthy livening and lifestyles in the Ghanaian community especially among young people. Ten finalists were reveled at the launch that saw the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Hon. Agyenim- Boateng in attendance. The host for the event, actress Ibe Bright asked the selected 10 some questions as a way of introducing them to the audience at the Royal Richester Hotel. They are: Elorm Anyadi (20, Central University College), Adu Gyamfi Atta Jr (23, Takoradi Polytechnic) , Sylvanus Bedzrah (24, Writer), Benjamin Aidoo Arthur (19, University of Ghana), Abdul Nassir Tofik (24, Fashion Designer), Mosore Mosorezor (21, University of Ghana), Maxwell Ohene- Kena (24, student Journalist), Raphael Addo (24, Zenith college), Anthony Woode (20, Actor), and Kwabena Otu (20, Central University College). They would be challenged and rewarded for their intelligence, innovation and smartness as well as for their poised and uniqueness. The Executive Organiser, Nana Mensah, said the event hopes to find that one young man who will be ready to take on the world as a celebrity, young entrepreneur, youth ambassador and role model who will sell the culture and way of life of the Ghanaian people to the international community. The Deputy Minister, James Agyenim Boateng, congratulated the ten contestants who took part in the show. The winner of Male Icon Ghana 2011 walks away with the official Male Icon Ghana title, youth ambassador for a charity project with TV appearances, an opportunity to meet his mentor or role model in Ghana personally, a brand new laptop, 1,200 ghc cash in monthly allowance, and one year supply of official clothing.
