The New Patriotic Party, and indeed all Ghanaians alike, have been baffled by revelations of how the ruling National Democratic Congress under the leadership of President Mills, has sought to drag Christianity and Men of God into their hypocritical holier than thou propaganda towards the 2012 general elections. In recent days, an abortive �Ghana in Prophesy� conference being organised by one Rev Prophet Eli Lumor and his wife, Madam Nimatu, and sponsored to the tune of GH�40,000 by the NDC government, to sing the praises of the President and also prophesy in that regard has proved beyond all reasonable doubts the extent to which the NDC will go to portray President Mills as a Christian. The NPP simply cannot understand why the NDC under President Mills, who claims to be a Christian, humble and eschews profligate spending, will want to spend hard-earned taxpayers� money to engage in religious fraud. The Bible makes us understand that prophets did not look into some kind of crystal ball and see events happening thousands of years after their own lifetimes. They were challenging people of their own world, especially their political rulers, to remain faithful to God's commandments and/or to repent and turn back to God if they had strayed. They were conveying messages from God, who had called or commissioned them, rather than speaking on their own initiative or authority. The NDC�s plan of using our revered Pastors in their quest to score cheap political points is certainly degrading to Christianity and the role played by men of God in discerning the spiritual and moral state of a nation as revealed to them by God. Ghanaians are certainly not fickle-minded. God raises up leaders for nations with the sole purpose of improving the lives of people they have been ordained to serve. If a leader cannot do this, but will resort to seeking false prophesies from Pastors in order to convince the people he serves, then he certainly has no business being in politics. The NDC should desist from spreading their false propaganda on to the realm of false prophecies that is not Godly. Signed.........
