The NDC Member of Parliament for Lower Manya Krobo and Campaign Coordinator of Nana Konadu for President 2012, Hon. Michael Teye Nyaunu has dismissed media reports that he has still not undergone the process for registering as a delegate for the onward issuance of an accreditation pass. The accreditation will enable him attend the NDC delegates congress in Sunyani without being turned away from the venue of the highly-anticipated primary in the annals of the party's history. The NDC MP insists he has been duly registered and accredited for the July congress. The Enquirer newspaper in its Thursday, June 30 edition reported that Hon Teye Nyaunu has not registered for his accreditation with less than 10 days to the congress. According to the newspaper, he (Teye Nyaunu) is the only delegate from the Eastern Region among the many regions who has not registered for accreditation as a delegate. But speaking in an interview on Citi News, Mr. Nyaunu debunked the story, insisting that he got registered yesterday and therefore cannot be turned away from the congress for lack of accreditation. �I have filled the forms and pictures were taken yesterday (Wednesday) in the afternoon so i have been accredited. Everything has been processed and ready for the congress besides all MPs will be going to vote and some have still not gone for their accreditation and the time for the accreditation has not expired�,� he said. According to him, there was a bit of a miscommunication from the party headquarters to the NDC Members of Parliament regarding the accreditation process, but he (Teye-Nyaunu) was fortunate enough to be apprised of the current development by the Majority Leader, Hon Cletus Avoka. �What happened initially was that we were made to take our passport pictures in Parliament house and then later on they decided to change the camera men and bring in different people to take it again, but I was not around when they came taking the pictures. So yesterday, the Majority Leader, Cletus Avoka called me and told me this has been the new arrangement. Subsequently, I followed up to the party office and got myself registered and accredited so I have no problem with accreditation,� he explained.
