Black Stars Players Hail Kwesi Nyantakyi Re-Election As Ghana FA Boss

Black Stars players have hailed the re-election of Kwesi Nyantakyi as the Ghana FA president for his second term in office. The 42-year-old was hugely successful in his first term as the leader of Ghana football, steering the country to its first two World Cup appearances. He was also in charge when the Black Satellites won Africa�s first U20 World Cup title two years ago in Egypt. After working with Nyantakyi, the country�s top players say they are confident the likeable and astute administrator will continue to steer Ghana to bigger things. �On behalf of my colleagues, I wish to congratulate you on your re election,� Ghana captain John Mensah said in statement. �We are indeed proud of you and it is our prayer that the bond you have with the playing and the technical body will grow from strength to strength. �You have shown in the past that you have what it takes to take Ghana soccer to greater heights. �We wish you nothing but the best as you strive to go the extra mile in your second term. �Qualifying the country to two successive World Cups is no mean an achievement . �We wish you the very best as you strive to make the sky your limit in the game we all love- football, congrats,� the statement added. Nyantakyi has vowed ot make changes to the things that negatively affected Ghana football in his first term of office. Already talks with high level officials are underway to revive the local league with officials of the English Premier League invited to help out. Other massive changes are expected in the coming days to boost the local league and youth football while a new Ethics Committee is expected to bring sanity into the game.
