Mills Must Reach Out To Nana Konadu - Dr. Kwesi Jonah

A political analyst, Dr. Kwesi Jonah has said that President Mills must reach out to the former first lady Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings as he makes efforts to unite the rank and file of the party ahead of the 2012 elections. Although Dr. Jonah does not think the unity of the party has been badly damaged prior to and during the congress, he said such a gesture is necessary. He said assigning the former first lady a role in his campaign for 2012 will not be out of place. According to Dr. Jonah President Mills must reach out to her and let her feel that she is very much needed in the party because this woman has made considerable contributions towards to the success of the party in the past so there is more that she can do so it is up to the Professor to reach out to her very quickly to make sure that the few people within the party who still support her, can come on board. Dr. Jonah is also suggesting that President Mills talks former President Rawlings into joining his campaign team for the 2012 elections. He said although former President Rawlings raised the hand of President Mills after he was declared winner, does not suggest that Mr. Rawlings will necessarily campaign for president Mills for the 2012 elections.
