AFAG Congratulates Government

The Alliance for Accountable Governance (AFAG) congratulates government on its amicable resolution of the protracted legal battle with the EO group, a partner of KOSMOS Energy of the US. AFAG whishes to state in principle that, government has shown a high sense of responsibility, which enhance the confidence of indigenous business men and the private sector at large. This would boost entrepreneurship which would help grow the energy sector. AFAG urges government to encourage other entrepreneurs in all sectors of the economy. AFAG however urges government to eschew political high handedness as a means of achieving an economic goal. Rather government should open up avenues to all and sundry to propel the nation forward. This notwithstanding, government should see to the prudent and effective maximization of revenues from the oil discovery. AFAG Also Congratulates Ms. Lauretta Lamptey On another note, AFAG congratulates Ms. Lauretta Lamptey on her appointment as the Commissioner for the Commission for Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ). We urge her to continue in the struggle to better the lots of Ghanaians. We expressed our unflinching support by continuing our work as the extra eye and ears of society and the providing the necessary checks and balances to government and all other institutions in Ghana.
