Ghana captain John Mensah has been ruled out of Tuesday friendly clash with Nigeria because of a slight injury, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal. Despite the injury setback, the Black Stars captain has arrived in London to join his colleagues in camp ahead of the clash with their arch rivals. He becomes the third player to be ruled out of the game against the Super Eagles in the match to be played in London. Kwadwo Asamoah and utility player Daniel Opare have both been ruled out of the game because of injuries they picked up while playing for their clubs. Mensah suffered the slight setback in training with his club Lyon on Friday and did not play in their opening league match on Saturday. Asamoah was also not in action for Udinese in the game against Sporting Lisbon and Opare was also not in action for Standard Liege in their league match. Even though Mensah is a key player in the centre of Ghana�s defence there is adequate replacement for him as Jonathan Mensah is in camp. Andre Ayew could be play in Kwadwo Asamoah�s position just behind the strikers while Nana Asare will fit well in the left-back position. Derek Boateng has been handed a late call-up to boost the numbers ahead of the game to be played on Tuesday night in Watford. According to Fifa rules clubs must be informed one week before players are invited to play in friendly matches. Boateng is desperate to join the Black Stars but he must count on the magnanimity of Dnipro coach to release him for the game. Apart from the injuries, the Ghana camp is bursting full of life as all the players invited for the game have arrived ahead of Monday evening�s full training session.
