Virgin Voters Targetted

AS PART of strategies by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to win the 2012 general elections, the party is working hard to capture first time voters. The party says virgin voters have great potential which can be used to sell the ideology, policies and vision of the party. Deputy NPP Youth Organizer, Samuel Attafuah-Danso made this known recently in Cape Coast when the NPP regional youth wing held a meeting with constituency youth executives in the area. Addressing the gathering, Mr. Attafuah-Danso disclosed that national executives of the NPP had outlined measures that would be used to battle the National Democratic Congress (NDC) party no matter what happens. According to him, the Mills-Mahama administration has lost focus and is moving the nation along rough roads alien to Ghanaians. He disclosed that for the nearly three years that the NDC has been in office, it has placed an embargo on public sector employment so that public institutions are no longer employing graduates and professionals who could have contributed their quota to the development of the nation. He added that Ghanaians have now realized that it is only the NPP that can take them to the promise land since the NDC had failed to live up to expectation. He alleged that NDC executives are preparing vigorously to stage a crusade of insults against the flag bearer of NPP, Nana Akufo-Addo and some NPP national executives. He warned the NDC that if they insult any member of the NPP, the party will hit back at them adding that though the NPP is a peaceful party, it will not allow any fictitious statements to interrupt its campaign in 2012. Mr. Attafuah-Danso commended the regional youth executives for the bold initiative they have taken to establish constituency youth wings in their various constituencies to win more sympathy votes for the party. On his part, NPP Central Regional Youth Organizer, Francis Ejaku Donkor promised the entire party that the youth in the region will do all they can to return the party to power. He however appealed to various parliamentary candidates as well as national executives to support them to disseminate the ideology and vision of the NPP to the grassroots members.
