So insults hurt; my compatriots. Add lies and broken promises and you will realise the kind of hurt the motherland is suffering now. Said in this column on Monday, October 18, 2010, was �blame ministers for insults in the media.� Keen media content observers would agree that ministers, especially the deputies, are blamable for the upsurge in insulting language in the media. Ministerial insults in the media are made of a circus of advisors, appointers and appointees. Because I am nobody no one cared about my beef with ministers appointed, paid and sustained with our tax money hailing insults all over. I have also queried the so-called ministers taking the position for such a joke that they are using the time for ministerial work to go to school. Thanks, strangely, to John Kuma�s harsh gay allegation in reaction to a terrible one of cocaine links against his leader. Nana Akomea paying a minister back in his own coin shortly thereafter has suddenly brought the issue of insulting media content to the front burner of national discourse. Alexander Pope wrote years back that a little learning is a dangerous thing. Well, a minister tells a professional communicator plying his trade that he is unintelligent. The communication man, understanding the insult, politely asks that the insult be retracted. The minister refuses. So with the intelligence he was supposed to lack, the communication man tells the minister he is a stupid fool. The retort couldn�t have been more effective. To be called stupid should hurt and to be called a fool when you are full of yourself even though you are little even hurts more. So, to be called a stupid fool must hurt more. That was a perfect double-double; stupid and fool. This is good for the motherland. It is very good for the motherland even though it is one small act in the fight against a congress that believes it owns the motherland, and can do whatever to whomever else in the motherland. Congress expects to be cheered for working against the motherland. A Martian-headed little learned dog born puppy may begin to appreciate that you cannot go about hurting people by insulting them that they or their utterances are unintelligent and think they will not tell you �you are a stupid fool� for telling them themselves or their actions are unintelligent. Why the host did not walk the minister out of the programme for refusing to withdraw those words and apologise beats me. That is what I would have done to save the minister from being called a stupid fool. I don�t know what my compatriots think about the rapid denigration of the office of a minister by the congress dog born puppies of deputies. I have vowed never to attend any function where one of these ministers would arrive for an old chief like me to be asked to stand up for him. Now, I will want to know how many of you my compatriots will want to attend a function where you will be asked to stand up for a stupid fool. Before I sign off, I pray the venomously anti-gay crusading preacherman to talk to his apostolic and assembly preacher folks to give the old man some time to sleep. What they do is noise creation. Let them exorcise the demons that drive them to make noise to deprive others of sleep first before they would think about turning to the fake exorcism by noise they practise as devil, not prayer, warriors. Their colleague bishops have gone mad ransacking radio studios because someone said something they didn�t like. When state security prides itself in plucking people from radio studios to jail, bishops will go a-rampaging in studios. To my academic compatriots, I say watch out with that 20% salary increase. Some people have been paid the spine to add 20% to it. Don�t forget congress dispatched a kuagbenu to pooh pooh your book allowance and that this could be a grand design to neutralize any spine gains to you. If you are supposed to go on the spine where others already are and you are not there and everyone, on and not on spine, is getting 20% increase, it is hard to understand what those who are not on the spine realistically stand to gain. As a chunk of the intelligentsia, just take a closer look, else congress should show, and not just tell, you that you are unintelligent! Stupid fools will always call others unintelligent because they are stupid fools who cannot figure out what is unintelligent because they are stupid fools. So wake up and don�t let stupid fools fool you by thinking and telling you �you are unintelligent� for not showing them they are trying to make you look unintelligent.
