Im A Nice Person - Nana Akufo-Addo

One of the things that amuse me to some extent is comments from my critics. The propaganda machine of the people on the other side is geared towards painting me as some sort of a mad man and a man who is out of touch with realities of our people; these are absurd attempts to demonize me. Its not true, Im a nice person. This was how the NPP flag bearer for the 2012 elections, Nana Akufo-Addo chose to clear the air as far as comments made about his person is concerned, when he appeared on Multi TVs political talk show, Minority Caucus on Monday evening. The show which was aimed at unveiling The Man Nana Addo to the electorates was also used to dispel the myths and rumours about the NPPs flag bearer. During my listening campaign, there was this woman who walked up to me and shook my hands and said she was surprised I shook her considering the things she had heard about me. Apparently, she was told I only shook people when I wore gloves; and I thought that was absurd" he said. Nana Addo who has been touring most parts of the country on a listening campaign contends that the listening campaign has helped to demystify all the wrong perceptions people had about him. Asked about his findings on the tour so far, Nana Addo said Ghanaians were disappointed in the NDC government and are desperate for a change. "The cry for good roads is almost universal even in the big cities. Yesterday (Sunday) I was in Mataheko and Ablekuma Central and the situation is horrible. Young people walk about without jobs. Playing oware, dame, ludu, spar, has become the order of the day in every corner; and that is pathetic for a nation like Ghana," he said. The NPP flag bearer also took the opportunity to re-emphasise his plans to enhance the provision of quality education for all Ghanaians especially the under-privileged if he wins the December 2012 polls. Speaking about his chances in next years polls, the confident opposition leader said "things are looking very bright from where I stand, I will win the 2012 elections".
