Former International Boxing Federation (IBF) Bantamweight champion Joseph �King Kong� Agbeko returns home today from his US base on Delta Airlines. Even though he returns home without his title, there are indications that a large crowd will besiege the Kotoka International Airport to give him a heroic welcome this morning. Expected to meet the �robbed� Bantamweight champ at the airport are officials of the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA), Ministry of Youth and Sports and National Sports Authority. Agbeko lost his title controversially to Mexican Abner Marez exactly a week today in their Show Time Bantamweight final tournament in Las Vegas, USA. The verdict by referee Russell Mora whereby he declared Marez champion raised eyebrows among the pugilistic family. As a result, the IBF has ordered the promoters of the fight to arrange a rematch scheduled for December 14. Agbeko, a chief with the stool name Torgbi Kaletor, will meet the press on Monday at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Accra.
