If some married men could withstand the enormous pressure when their wives desert them, it definitely was not the case of a 30-year-old man at Agona Wiamoase in the Ashanti Region.
Yaw Sarpong, who got married about eight years ago, has no choice than to commit suicide when his wife left him.
The mother of the deceased, Akua Serwaa, disclosed that after the departure of the wife, Sarpong decline to eat with the reason that he had spent all his money on the wife.
She said as a result, the son became seriously ill.
Madam Akua Serwaa said on Monday most of the family members went to their farms leaving the little children.
On their return at about 5:30 she said, Sarpong was not found in his room, but one of the little children indicated that he had gone into the bush in the afternoon.
She said at about 7:30pm when he had not returned, the family went looking for him only to find him hanging on a tree.
The Assemblyman for Behemase Wiamoase electoral area, Isaac Gyamfi, also said Sarpong�s condition worsened before the suicide and no amount of advice would make him to even take some medicine.
He said the death would cause a lot of pain to his family as he was the bread winner of the family.
