Brogya Gyamfi, spokesperson for NDC Youth in the Ashanti Region has revealed that executives of the ruling National Democratic Congress are still victimizing supporters of the former First Lady, Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings. After almost two months since the re-election of President John Mills as the flag bearer of the NDC, Brogya Gyamfi says victimization of Mrs. Rawlings� supporters has not stopped. In an interview with Xfm 95.1, Brogya Gyamfi disclosed that committees have been set up in some districts and constituencies to investigate executive members who met Mrs. Rawlings on her recent �Thank You Tour� to the Ashanti and Brong Ahafo Regions. The defeated NDC Presidential candidate, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, embarked on a �Thank You Tour� of the country to thank all who supported and encouraged her before and during the Sunyani Congress. She started the tour at her home region in Ashanti where she vehemently denied allegations that she demanded five ministerial positions and an amount of money before she will campaign for the party in the 2012 General elections. However, shortly after her visit, Brogya Gyamfi claims members of some investigative committees, including MMDCE�s have been questioning party people who met Nana Konadu. He described these developments as disturbing, stressing that it does not augur well for party unity. �The individuals who were called to those committees informed me. The committees asked questions like why they went and why the key ones among them mobilized members to join them�Nana Konadu�s visit was an opened invitation; every member of the party was invited. And so every executive member was invited� I have information from about six districts where these persons who called me have already visited the committees and presented their cases to them�. �I do not want to interpret this action, I�m sure the party is aware, because the committees comprise top party executives in those constituencies and districts including the DCE�s. What I am trying to do is to give an indication that a thing like that is going on and I think it is not a thing that brings unity in the party�.
