The Challenge Season Three Begins On TV

Last Tuesday August 30th 2011 witnessed the grand launch of the Season Three of the most rewarding reality show on Ghanaian television, The Challenge presented by leading telecommunications company Tigo and the British Council. This welcomes the thirteen week TV series with an hour episode of tasks airing every Sunday on GTV at 2.30PM, e.TV at 4PM and GhOne at 6PM which commenced last weekend. It continues on Wednesday on GTV at 9PM with a thirteen minute eviction show. The Education UK Reality TV Show which has witnessed two successful editions is designed to give bright young ambitious Ghanaian university graduates the opportunity to study under postgraduate scholarships at leading Universities in the United Kingdom. Season three has at stake full board postgraduate scholarships worth �70,000 with the top two winners guaranteed postgraduate admissions at the Robert Gordon University and University of Westminster accompanied by a fully paid accommodation and a monthly living allowance. The 12 finalists unveiled at the launch will receive extensive personal and professional development training and compete against each other in a series of weekly tests, debates, tasks and quizzes in management, leadership, creativity and UK-Ghana trivia. They are Rhoda Omari, Benjamin Enyan, Eric Akomanyi, Eric Frempong Amponsah, Ama S Bentsi-Enchill, Irene Etormam Migbordzie, Sefakor Agbesi, Nana Kusi Yeboah, Ophilia Nyametse, Majorie Myers, Naa A Komey and Elsie Attieku-Nuku. The contestants will be adjudged by a 3-member Scholarship Committee; named �THE BOARD� to be made up of a renowned business leaders. Depending on performance against set criteria, three contestants would be nominated by the Board for eviction after three segments of the show. Seven (7) out of the12 contestants will be evicted over a twelve-week period. The 5 remaining contestants will go head-to-head in a final contest to determine the winner of the grand prize who on completion of the post-graduate course will return to Ghana to pick up a pre-arranged lucrative job placement and a brand new car. The two runner ups will receive one-year postgraduate scholarships and accommodation from other the Robert Gordon University.
