Supporters of Presidential aide, Nii Lantey Vanderpuije who is eyeing the Odododiodioo parliamentary seat have clashed again with supporters of incumbent MP Jonathan Tackie Commey. This is the second time that supporters of both men have clashed after a similar scuffle broke out during a meeting of constituency executives on Wednesday September 7. Ghanaian boxer Braimah Kamoko, popularly known as Bukom Banku who was an eyewitness to the clashes told Citi News that some land guards allegedly hired by sitting MP and Presidential aide Nii Lantey Vanderpuije created a messy scenario during the unveiling of a plaque in honor of the former Member of Parliament for the constituency, the late Hon. Samuel Aryequaye Mankata at the Usher Polyclinic at James Town in Accra. Bukom Banku however condemned the rising tension between supporters of sitting MP Nii Tackie Commey and Presidential aide Nii Lamptey Vanderpuije. He warned that the NDC risk losing the Odododiodioo seat if the government does not take pragmatic measures to curtail the situation in the constituency, before it deteriorates. �My name is Braimah Kamoko aka Bukom Banku, everybody knows that I am NDC, we were here at Usher Clinic having our celebrations and we realized that both incumbent MP and Nii Lantey Vanderpuije had brought land guards to come here to fight so we kill ourselves at Odododiodioo. �I want to tell Atta Mills and the Vice President that if they don�t open their eye NDC Party would destroy Odododiodioo. Meanwhile, the Constituency Secretary Joseph Otuo downplayed the reports that no such scuffle took place. He said it was just a little misunderstanding and not a clash as reported. �As one of his responsibilities, the MP decided to commission an administration block which was named after the former MP, unfortunately during the time, the deputy Minister for Health was making his speech, an intruder came and said that he doesn�t like the incumbent MP. So the MP's lovers told him this is not the platform for him to make that statement, so it was a small scuffle that happened�.
