Agogo Scores His First Goal In Scotland To Rescue Hibernian

Junior Agogo scored his first goal for Hibernian on Saturday, helping them to stage a storming comeback to grab a precious point in their 3-3 draw against Dundee United. The Ghana striker also set up another goal for his club in the game which shows that he is regaining his touch that made him the favourite player of Ghanaians. His performance and first goal for the club helped them in their battle to haul themselves away from the Scottish Premier League basement. Hibernian came back from two goals down to rescue the point from a thrilling draw at Easter Road. But Hibs stunned the Tannadice side with two goals in a minute, Isaiah Osbourne hammering in a shot which went in off Scott Robertson before Junior Agogo, with his first goal for Hibs, levelled with 17 minutes remaining. The Ghanaian produced a marvellous through-pass, cutting through the Dundee United defence for OConnor to run onto, and the in-form frontman calmly rounded Dusan Pernis and slotted home despite a prohibitive angle. He then kept his composure to slide a low shot into the bottom left hand corner of Pernis net. Agogo showed good pace to beat the former Motherwell defender before slamming an effort into the corner of the net. It was his first goal since he joined the club at the start of the season after recovering from a knee injury that threatened his career. Agogo is keen on fighting for his place in the Black Stars after becoming Ghanas hero at the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations.
