Asamoah Gyan: I've Not Spoken To Steve Bruce Since Leaving On Loan

Asamoah Gyan admits he has not spoken to Steve Bruce since completing a loan switch from Sunderland to Al-Ain. The Ghanaian striker has moved to the Middle East on a money-spinning season-long agreement. Bruce was reluctant to part with the striker, having splashed out 13million on his services in the summer of 2010. Having been left frustrated by the whole ordeal, the Black Cats boss has claimed that it would be difficult for the African ace to return to the Stadium of Light. His comments have not gone down well with Gyan, who maintains that he has acted professionally throughout. Consent Having been left disappointed by Bruce's words and actions, the 25-year-old claims he has decided to blank the Sunderland chief since leaving Wearside. "I've heard comments he's made since I left which I'm disappointed about," said Gyan. "Because of that I've not called him since I moved here. "Steve Bruce was aware I was moving. Everybody at the club gave consent to the move because of the money involved." It is reported that Al-Ain paid 6million to secure Gyan's services and are paying him around 200,000-a-week.
