Joy FM�s news analysis programme, �News File�, hosted only three representatives in the persons of Malik Kweku Baako, Editor-In-Chief of the New Crusading Guide, Mustapha Hamid, member of the Nana Akufo Addo campaign team and Mr. William Duworpkor, Communications Director of the CPP.
The ruling party, National Democratic Congress (NDC), had earlier objected to the constitution of the panel with the explanation that it was not balanced and thus boycotted the programme.
According to the NDC, as reported by the host, they would have a difficult task in a �three against one� battle of opinions.
Issues on the table were fall outs of the controversial $3 billion loan the NDC is contracting from the Chinese and the never ending allegation against Nana Akufo-Addo over his perceived relationship with drug addicts.
Host of the show, Samson Lardi Ayenini, who objected to the perceived �unfairness� accusation raised against his station, indicated that efforts by the production team to get a rep from the NDC had proved futile.
�Invitations have been sent throughout the course of the week, only for us to be told at the last hour that the NDC could not be represented,� he said.
Interestingly, Victor Adawudu, a representative of the NDC made a late entrance, and apologized profusely for events preceding his arrival, attributing it to mis-communication.
His arrival coincided rather strangely with the discussion centred on Nana Addo�s alleged connections with drug barons. He had missed the first topic on the fall-outs of the $3 billion loan the government of Ghana is contracting from the Chinese.
For now it is unclear if the NDC will return to the show next week.
