Shocking!!! 6000 NPP Members Root For Victor Smith?

A member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Atta Boateng, claims over 6000 supporters of the party are rooting behind Ambassador Victor Smith in his bid to become the NDCs Member of Parliament for the Abuakwa-North constituency. The Daily Post newspaper, in a publication on Monday, October 3rd, reported that Ambassador Victor Smith seems to have won the hearts of most members of the NPP in his constituency due to his contribution to development in the area. Speaking in an interview with Suhini Alhassan on Radio Golds Newspaper Review, Atta Boateng said even though they belong to the NPP, there is the need to call a spade a spade and not a cutlass and cannot therefore disregard the massive developmental projects initiated by Victor Smith by voting for a different candidate who has not in any way improved the lives of residents in the constituency simply because they belong to the same party. We realized that he (Ambassador Smith) was a good person and he has brought a lot of development to this constituencywith such a person, we the NPP who want the well-being of this constituency will vote for him to become the MP. I am a staunch NPP member that even when you dissect me, you will see NPP colours in my blood but the truth needs to be told. He is doing well in the constituencywe are amazed at what he has done for us in Abuakwa-North, Atta Boateng said. The staunch NPP activist stressed that there is no way they will desert the party, neither do they have any issue with their flagbearer, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo; but rather with the aspiring parliamentary candidate on the ticket of the NPP. We will vote for Nana Akufo Addo to be the President of the country but Victor Smith will be our MPyou need to encourage the person if he is doing something goodVictor Smith has the tacit support of 6000 NPP supporters we are true-blooded NPP members. Some of the party executives in the constituency have been trying their all to convince us to back J.B. Danquah, he added. Asked if his open endorsement of Ambassador Smith as the candidate who can best serve the interest of the constituents is not premised on the fact that some money has changed hands, he shot back saying (the) former MP, J.B. Dankwah is doling out monies to people to vote for him and so if I wanted money, I would have been gone to himno one has given me money we need development and so it is not a matter of money, Atta Boateng stated.
