Hearts Fans Go WildAfter 1-3 Loss To Kotoko

Hearts management member Aziz Harunah has joined the many supporters of the Rainbow club, calling for the head of its head coach Nebojsa Vucicevic. The fans were beside themselves with fury after the emphatic 1-3 loss they suffered at the hands of their old foes, Asante Kotoko in their Super 2 Cup charity match at the Accra Stadium on Saturday. Aziz, who represents the fans at management level, did not hide his frustration in a post-match interview stating, If we allow this coach to continue, we will suffer more than we did last season. I agree with the fans that the coach should be sacked immediately, the earlier we sack him, the better it will be for us. We have quality players, but it appears the coach lacks some technical direction, he added. To the irate fans, the coachs failure to play his cards well accounted for what they termed as a humiliating defeat, not to any other side, but their arch-rivals. Hearts managed a 1-1 drawn game in the first leg at the Baba Yara Stadium eight days ago, making them the probable winners in the return encounter. The inclusion of All African Games top scorer Mahatma Otoo, heightened the Phobians confidence ahead of the second leg. In like manner, Kotoko were handed an Ahmed Toure boost, and he indeed proved his worth by adding his name to the score sheet with a spectacular goal which attracted intense applause from the stands. Kotoko opened the scoring after 30 minutes following a perfect pass from forward Nathaniel Asamoah to Kofi Nti Boakye, who tapped home effortlessly. When the game had barely developed, a me-and-you opportunity came the way of Otoo but he struck inches away. Left footed Douglas Nkrumah cancelled the league from a spot kick 12 minutes after the break, but Kotoko threw more men in front which resulted in the two addition al goals from Toure and Asamoah. The game, a precursor to this seasons league, was put together by Kome to My Aid, an NGO, to raise funds for charity.
