A Tema-based legal practitioner, Robert S. Blay, has been stabbed to death with broken bottle by unknown assailants Wednesday dawn, the police in Tema confirmed.
According to sources, Blay, who is in his mid-40s drove to the Tema General Hospital around 4am after the attack for assistance while bleeding profusely from his neck where he was stabbed.
Hospital officials were unable to rescue him despite efforts to keep him alive.
ACP Augustine Gyenin, the Tema Police Commander, told Citi Eyewitness News that his outfit has taken over the case and have begun investigations into the incident.
He declined to comment further saying he will give further details when they make much progress with their investigations.
The deceased lawyer, who works with the RS Blay Associates lived in Tema Community 3 and was a well known person in the metropolis.
