Former beauty queen Inna Miriam Patty Miss Ghana 2004 has finally taken over the organization of the oldest and most prestigious beauty pageant in Ghana, Miss Ghana. The big announcement was made during a press conference today Monday October 10, 2011 at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Accra. Inna has taken full control of the management and organization of Miss Ghana for (Ever) as long as possible under her company Exclusive Events Ghana. Addressing the press Inna said Today marks an exciting and humbling day for me and for Exclusive Event Ghana as we formerly announce the taking over of the management and organization of Miss Ghana Beauty Pageant. We feel honoured for this unique opportunity to contribute our ideas and experience to this prestigious brand and write our name in history. Miss Ghana has been going through some hard times and the former queen of the same pageant has come to its recue. The event could not come off this year due to financial challenges, issues of sponsorship and as the former organizer put it, technical challenges. Speaking to Peacefmonline.com Inna said she wants to contribute her quota to the Miss Ghana brand. The time is right for young, energetic and exuberant team to revitalize the brand that has already been built. Asked how she and her team are going handle the issue of raising funds to produce the event which is the major challenge of the pageant, Inna said Well its a team effort not just on the organizers but the sponsors, media partners and the organizing team that make up that brand so we need all on board and with the support of all of you to able to achieve that dream. As to whether Exclusive Events are going to follow the traditional way of selecting the contestants by going to all ten regions, she said if they repeat the old format then she and her team are not being innovative enough so she is bringing a whole new exciting and highly innovative way of running Miss Ghana. On his part, Mr. Laryea CEO of Media Whizz Kids former organizers of Miss Ghana, told the media that the mark of every wise man is to take critical and very relevant decisions and this is one of them. He stressed that change is part of life and very necessary if it is done at the right time. I and my team at Media Whiz Kids have taken a very bold decision and we believe it is in the right direction. This will not be the first time Media Whizz Kids is giving the pageant to new organizers. After organizing the event for several years, they sold the right to Shirley Frimpong Manso of Sparrow Production for five years between 2004 and 2008. They took over again in 2009 and after two years they have decided to throw in the towel and have now handed over the pageant in its totality to Miss Inna Miriam Patty. According to Inna the next Miss Ghana will be launched in February 2012 where all plans and the new phase of the pageant will be outdoored. Also present at press conference were Shaida Buari Miss Ghana 2002, Chris Adama of Media Whizz Kids, Obed Boafo publicist among others. Meanwhile, reigning queen Stephanie Karikari Miss Ghana 2010 is expected to leave Ghana next month to represent the country at this years Miss World beauty pageant.
