Emirates Airlines To Market Zambia

One of the largest airlines in the world Emirates plans to market Zambia�s tourism globally in over 100 destinations. Emirates which is headquartered in the United Arab Emirates in Dubai, says it will advertise Zambia in Dubai and other international markets to support its flights in and out of Zambia. Senior Vice President for Commercial Operations Africa, Jean Luc Grillet has ZNBC News in dubai that the airline will spend a substantial budget to market Zambian tourism. He says 33 percent of the budget will be for advertising within Zambia, 33 percent in Dubai and another 33 percent in other international markets. Emirates will launch flights into Lusaka starting February 2012. Zambia and Zimbabwe will be the airlines� 20th and 21st African destinations in addition to global network. The airlines will be lying into Lusaka five times weekly using A330-200 aircrafts. Emirates will also launch the first airbus A380 flight into Johannesburg starting October 1, 2011. The plane has the capacity to carry close to five hundred people and has shower in the first class. Emirates which was established in 1985 owns about 90 airbus A380 planes. The airlines has invited journalist from South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe to experience the first A380 flight.
