A former flagbearer aspirant and leading member of the Convention People�s Party (CPP), Professor Agyeman Badu Akosah, has indicated that he would announce his decision whether to run or not for the CPP flagbearership only after the national executives give the green light. The former director general of the Ghana Health Service fell short of expressing his unhappiness at the seeming mad rush for the slot by his colleague competitors although the race has not been officially declared open. Prof. Akosah told Citi News he has resolved to abide by the party�s laid down rules. �I read a notice filed by the general secretary of the Convention People�s Party to the effect that the party has not opened nominations for the flagbearership election and I believe that as a member of the CPP, I respect the views of my general secretary and the decisions of the party,� he said. Prof. Akosah added: �As far as I am concerned, I believe that the party has its own mechanism of doing what is right and the party I believe would do what is right. �Let the party make its program known to all and sundry and at that time you might just hear my voice. �
