Skuulfuo Opens 'Chapter One'

Following its achievements on the Ghanaian gospel music scene in just a few weeks, the sensational group, Skuulfuo, has won the hearts of many music lovers with its current album, �Chapter One�. The demand for the album has shot up incredibly in Accra and Kumasi, and the exceedingly high orders came immediately after radio stations in the country started promoting the songs on the album. Checks conducted at various music shops, centres and other sales outlets indicated that demand for the album remarkably shot up at the beginning of last week. Music distributors and retailers on Saturday declared that a number of music lovers visited some music shops in Accra to grab copies of the CDs because all the songs on the album had inspired many. With the increasing demand for the album, it would not be a surprise if retailers take advantage of the situation to increase the price of the CD. A number of fans who had the opportunity to listen to the songs on the album have rated the album among the best to be produced in the country this year. The presence of the group on the gospel music industry has caught the attention of a large number of music lovers so much so that they have started rushing to music shops to grab copies of the CD. Skuulfuo�s music is a combination of excellent lyrics, good vocals and instrumentation. The album is full of catchy, easy-to-sing-along-with tunes with immense commercial potential. It is set to create stiff competition for established artistes, particularly those in the gospel music field. Certain radio presenters are so excited that they want a promo copy of the album for immediate airplay. Charles Sarpong, CEO of Cebex Music Production, who is also the executive producer of the album, attributed the group�s success to hard work, prayers and the messages its songs carried. The executive producer told BEATWAVES in a chat that his ultimate aim was to help promote and market the album so that it would make a mark on both the local and international music scenes. Nacy, one of Ghana�s enterprising sound engineers and music producers, is the brain behind the formation of the group, which is made of Adjah, Ama, Nana and Fii.
