Rawlings Will End Up Like Gaddafi - Bature

Alhaji Iddrisu Bature, Editor-in-chief of the Al Hajj newspaper and social commentator, has warned former President Jerry John Rawlings to be careful of his current romance with the NPP in an effort to support Akufo-Addo against President Atta Mills. Describing Jerry Rawlingss recent statement to the effect that Nana Akufo-Addo is more popular than President Mills, only because President Mills is not arresting NPP functionaries and throwing them into jail, as highly unfortunate, Alhaji Bature suggests that Mr. Rawlings is making a big mistake; because the NPP has always had plans of eliminating him: And should he succeed in supporting the NPP to wrest power from the NDC, Rawlings will be the end loser; he opined. According to Bature, in spite of how Gaddafi supported Sakozy with millions of dollars to become President of France, as well as Gaddafi pumping billions of dollars into the American and British economies, it is the same countries that hid behind NATO to kill Gaddafi. Alhaji Bature made these points on Asempa FM. Rawlings, you have no friends in the NPP; if you want to end up like Gaddafi, continue to support the NPP, Bature yelled. According to him, he cannot believe that today, Rawlings will be working very hard to destroy the NDC. Bature could not hide his dismay at the way Rawlings can today be supporting Nana Akufo-Addo and the NPP in his vile attempt to destroy his own party. According to Bature, he cannot believe that Rawlings is doing what he is doing because he (Bature) learnt loyalty from Rawlingss revolution. Alhaji Bature recalled the heady days of the revolution in Bolgatanga, and how people like him sold their poultry farm just to support the revolution. Alhaji recounted how people like him fought the likes of Paul Afoko, who had to run away and go into a twenty (20) years exile in London. Bature says, if people like Sir John are now the people that Mr. Rawlings listens to, it is very sad because, they are only pretending to be defending him because they want to deepen the divide within the NDC and hopefully benefit from it. Alhaji Bature said that it is only after the NPP has gotten what it wants from Rawlings, that the party will turn round and stab Rawlings in the back. It is not a secret that Mr. Rawlings hates President Mills, since the latter refuses to lead the NDC to hit the streets and protest after the NPP stole the election in 2004. Mr. Rawlings, at the time he wanted then candidate Mills to hit the streets, jetted out of the country with his wife and went to hang out with his friend President Dennis Sasou Ngueso. Of course, Mr. Rawlingss kids were all schooling abroad at the time. President Mills crime is that he refused to lead Ghana down the road of civil war and bloodbath and so the Founder of his party is today openly campaigning for Nana Akufo-Addo. The NDCs Founder; Jerry John Rawlings; now the campaign manager for NPPs Akufo-Addo? Hmmm!!! Wonders shall never cease!!!!!
